Today’s Wandering Wednesday features street art from SoHo and my lunch break walks through Greenwich Village. Enjoy!
Well, I’ve finally managed to clear some room from my media library to bring you part one of my St. Thomas vacation recap. I have decided to really come through the hundreds of pictures I took while away and present an edited photo collage of my adventures.
While it has been a month since my trip, I can still smell the water, hear the birds, and feel the salty ocean water on my skin. The only thing I miss more than the breathtaking views and the overwhelming aura of peace and relaxation is Cynthia.
I have to admit it’s pretty awesome to have a friend in this corner of the world. Yes, of course, I miss her, but getting to see her in her new home: thriving, happy, effervescent and carefree, was wonderful to see. My wanderlust has definitely been piqued and I am now thinking ahead to my next great adventure for 2016. I’m thinking Italy! But until then, here are photos from the first three days of my trip on St. Thomas proper. Enjoy 🙂
I have been so fortunate, thus far, to have been involved in a project or production since the first of the year. With this momentum, I have had the opportunity to meet and work with such beautiful people in talent, spirit, and joy. I think what appeals to me so much about the theatre, are the comrades I interact with along the way. I have been unable to post the many photos I have taken behind the scenes since The Fire This Time Festival, and I thought it would be a great post to publish today in light of Private Lives’ closing on Sunday.
I have had oodles of fun with each person you see in these photos and my heart has a place for each and every one of them. You see, they are not just cast mates and co-collaborators, they are my friends.
This photo collage includes photos from Cafe Le Monde, Private Lives and reunions with cast members from The Fire This Time Festival and Ivanov.
While I realize it is actually Friday, my Wandering Wednesday post is going live TODAY! Yes, I’ve been busy blah, blah, blah (you can recap that here and here),but this week I started back on my messenger route which means, I’m getting paid to wander the streets of New York and take awesome photos in between stops. This week’s Wandering Wednesday features the pictures I was able to take throughout the month, when my fingers weren’t freezing.
Midtown, the Financial District, City Hall, and West Harlem are featured. Hope you enjoy!
This week’s #AboutLastNight is all about “Not In This Room,” the production I’m working in as a part of the Fire This Time Festival Festival downtown. What a fantastic opening weekend, three shows down with only two more to go, this experience has been a great one. Not only do I get to work with Daaimah Mubashshir again (read here about our last collaboration) but I’ve made new connections with my fellow actors.
On top of opening a show, my good friend Andrew and his classmate Andrea, made their first trip down from Syracuse on Friday for a ceramics conference. 2015 has officially begun now that I have had a taste of home 🙂
Hope you enjoy the photos, and if you’re in the New York area head over to horsetrade.info to buy your ticket to the Fire This Time Festival’s 10-minute Play Festival.
This is one of two #AboutLastNight (Holiday Edition) posts I’ll be making this week. This first one will cover my Christmas holiday in New York City, and the second post that will go up on Friday for #flashbackfriday will cover my New Year’s Eve celebrations. Enjoy this blast from the (relative) past as we head back to the office, and our confetti-free daily lives.
