Umm…

so Christmas is a week from tomorrow. I haven’t done any shopping. I don’t want to shop. But I must. At least, in addition to the long lines, crowds of people, cold temperatures, and lugging heavy bags onto the subway I can bask in the Christmas tunes pumping through the stores’ speakers. Here are the songs I hope to hear when I finally make my rounds.

Happy Friday!

Video

Happy Friday everybody!

Can’t believe the weekend is finally here, because that means I am North Carolina bound, by way of Washington DC. Super excited to see all of my family in Duck, NC for the next eight days, where we will get to spend quality time together laughing, reconnecting and forging new memories. I’m really looking forward to talking with my grandmother (my only living grandparent) about the family tree and stories from Crewe about my mom and her brothers and sisters. I began this project last Thanksgiving and want to continue, working with my mother, and hopefully constructing a physical family tree to begin our family ancestry archive.

I will post a Wandering Wednesday post next week, but all in all, I will be unplugging for the week. So if you miss my updates, check out some of my older posts from the past year and a half until I return to the Big Apple. Or you can watch some of your favorite movies and tv shows on Netflix, Hulu or HBOGO. If the latter applies to you I have a funny PSA to share with you before you get started.

Have a great weekend, week and Labor Day weekend! Hard to believe we’re about to bid another summer adieu.

Happy Friday!

Video

It’s Friday at last! One week from today, I will be on a bus to DC! The first leg of my trip to Outerbanks bliss!!! Beach, family, relaxation and fun! CAN NOT WAIT! But until then, it’s time to start thinking about the fall and football. This year I’m trying to get a fantasy football league together for the first time, and I’ve actually found some people who are interested in joining. So my weekend will be filled with theatre (supporting friends in shows around the city), reunions (grabbing tea with Michelle at Alice’s Tea Cup), packing, reading, writing and learning everything there is to know about Fantasy Football. The reason I bring this up is because it leads right into my Happy Friday video of the week. The Manning Brothers (Peyton of the Denver Broncos and Eli of the New York Giants) are at it again with another hee-larious rap video for Direct TV. Enjoy!
