A major reason why I was MIA last month, is because my Dad was in town! We got to spend a long weekend together, visiting museums, eating amazing food, watching great theatre, and having a large slice of home at Stella Adler when my first class of acting students took the stage. I don’t want to gush about how great the visit was, how I had not seen Dad since February, yada yada yada. Instead, I’ll do what I do best, show you in pictures!!!
Good morning on this lovely Kickoff 2014 Game Day! (super happy that football is BACK!)
Today, I have a pretty sweet Throwback Thursday featuring myself and my brother from yesteryear. One of the amazing bonuses of my family vacation last week was when my Uncle Jimmy and Cousin Maxine brought old photo albums and boxes of photos chronicling family milestones and memories. Everybody walked away with a healthy stack to add to their personal collections 🙂
I hope you get a kick out of these photos, and I can’t wait to share my September goals with you tomorrow!
Hey everybody! I’m back from my relaxing week in North Carolina and have already hit the ground running, catching up with friends, saying “see you later” to others, planning exciting things for the blog, and getting my feet wet before I officially add teacher to my resume! Look out for a fabulous Throwback Thursday tomorrow and my monthly motivation and goals on Friday. Can’t wait to share my trip with you all over the coming weeks and what I have cooked up for fall 🙂
Happy Friday everybody!
Can’t believe the weekend is finally here, because that means I am North Carolina bound, by way of Washington DC. Super excited to see all of my family in Duck, NC for the next eight days, where we will get to spend quality time together laughing, reconnecting and forging new memories. I’m really looking forward to talking with my grandmother (my only living grandparent) about the family tree and stories from Crewe about my mom and her brothers and sisters. I began this project last Thanksgiving and want to continue, working with my mother, and hopefully constructing a physical family tree to begin our family ancestry archive.
I will post a Wandering Wednesday post next week, but all in all, I will be unplugging for the week. So if you miss my updates, check out some of my older posts from the past year and a half until I return to the Big Apple. Or you can watch some of your favorite movies and tv shows on Netflix, Hulu or HBOGO. If the latter applies to you I have a funny PSA to share with you before you get started.
Have a great weekend, week and Labor Day weekend! Hard to believe we’re about to bid another summer adieu.
I’m definitely trying to get it in over here on NewYorkDreaming before I unplug for the week. I even decided to bring back Throwback Thursday this week 🙂
Featured this week are a video with “my lights,” my adorable niece and nephew, minus the youngest when I visited them last year, (you can read about that adventure here).
The photos featured are from the last beach vacation in 2012. I hop on the bus tomorrow, and I am ready to leave New York behind and become fully absorbed in all this trip has to offer. And one as far back as 2008!
Now do you understand my anticipation?
