#AboutLastMonth

Standard

June is here, and I realized that I wasn’t very consistent with my April May posts. Oops. But, luckily there are photos that I can plaster up NOW, to give you an idea of what I was up to. In all honesty, I was a pretty bad blogger. There were a lot of amazing things that happened in May: my Adler ladies brunch, performances, reunions with friends, walks in new neighborhoods, that I just didn’t record or photograph.

Talk about awful bad. But, even if I don’t have an image to go along with these moments, the memories are good enough for me. After all, I didn’t always have a Facebook. Instagram, Xanga, blog as a resource for all of the internet-world to see and relive my life, so it’s kind of fun for me to have a few things for myself. 😉

Below you will, however, find a May slideshow chockfull of photos from Andrew’s New York City art debut, roomie night out with Alicia at Apotheke, Lauren’s graduation from NYU, a day at the Whitney with Kyla, drinks after a busy casting day with Glen, Pierre, and David and more!

Disappearance of Melissa????

Bonjour one and all!

I am alive! I have just been extremely busy/uninspired/overwhelmed/creatively empowered this month. So much has been happening in April that I haven’t been able to focus on a theme for the month, much less take a deep breath!  Between rehearsals, performances, a quick trip home, to dog sitting, living in Queens for a week, taking tons of behind the scenes photos, to seeing amazing shows, supporting friends, planning brunch reunions, teaching in jail, and catching up on sleep, I have not been able to put all of my adventures down in the blogosphere!

So, since the month is almost up, don’t expect too many posts in the near future. I have to double down and figure out my time management skills more efficiently to bring you awesome content.

Don’t fret the New York Dreamer is still dreaming and is, in fact, involved in tons of amazing adventures. Recaps, catchups, photo galleries, dance videos and more will come, just not now!

Thanks for hanging in and check out my older posts and Instagram page to keep up with me until then.

Ciao 🙂

Throwback Thursday

Standard

I am absolutely giddy about my upcoming trip home in a few weeks! It’s hard to believe that I haven’t made my way back to Jackson in almost a year and a half (jeepers). Looking at Facebook posts from friends, I see that the city has definitely gone through a renaissance in many ways since I was last there, and I can’t wait to act as tourist during my quick trip away.

This week’s Throwback Thursday features photos I nabbed from our photo stockpiles and can’t wait to grab a few more when I head back down. 🙂

Enjoy!

Today’s holiday themed “Throwback Thursday” features pictures from Christmas/Holiday parties over the past 5 years, on and off. From a New Year’s Eve party at my home in Jackson, to the annual Christmas parties I’ve jointly thrown with roommates over the past 3 years, I love opening my home to my friends, cracking open a few bottles and letting the music and conversation flow.

Vacation

Standard

Well the good times keep rolling as i send you mobile greetings from Pass Christian, MS! I will get to ring the New Year in at the coast with my beloved and amazing friend Meghan!!! I haven’t seen her in what I believe to be two years (😮) , but through snail mail, skype, facebook, and the telephone we have continually kept in touch while she took the pacific northwest by storm and is now settled in the Bay Area attending grad school. As we were puzzling and chatting last night I told her how fitting it was to wrap up my “year of reunions” with the biggest one of them all!
I will do my best to post a photo diary of our adventures, as well as my holiday fun at home during my first week back. But if you don’t see any updates, be sure to click on my instagram feed for any and all photos not seen here! 😉
Enjoy your Monday, whether it be with family, friends, or alone with your thoughts and a cup of coffee!

Ciao
