Tuesday Thoughts

We are afraid of losing what we have, whether it’s our life or our possessions and property. But this fear evaporates when we understand that our life stories and the history of the world were written by the same hand.

52 New Weeks to Get it Right!

Happy New Year again everyone! I was able to bring in 2015 in a fabulous way, surrounded by my extended family, in formal wear, in Richmond. I was introduced to relatives I still had not met, danced the night away, spent time with my parents, and was confronted with the fact, yet again, of how blessed I am to be surrounded by a family that loves me and loves each other. 🙂

Okay, now that the gratitude is out of the way time to look ahead to the future and become grounded in the present. I found that my “Monthly Motivations” really helped me to cement my goals, priorities, and dreams for the upcoming month, and this year I’ll keep this practice going. Over the weekend I made a vision board for 2015, quotes, phrases, and photos that encompass all that I want to do, be, and become in regards to my personal and professional life. You can see a picture of my vision board on my Instagram roll towards the left of the screen. As far as a traditional New Year’s resolution, I have but one: To be consistent and persistent. That is all.

I hope you had a great holiday season and that the warm feelings and cheer bleed into the rest of your month and year, as much as possible. Happy New Year! Make it a great one 🙂

Happy Friday

As I stated on Monday, each Friday post this month will be a dedicated “Flashback Friday” as I go three months at a time through 2014. This week it’s January-March! I sadly learned that I somehow forgot to back up my January photos, so I’ll only be able to repost the ones that originally appeared that month, but for February and March I’ll add a few in the slideshow that you haven’t seen! Hope you enjoy my trip down memory lane.

Tuesday Thoughts

“So I think that’s part of the beauty of life. It’s more about the art of conversation, the companionship, the friendships, and the quality of life that you get out of working—it’s about the creative process even more than the final product. I think there’s something kind of depressing about a product being final, because the only time a product is really final is when you’re in a casket.” -Kanye West

Busy, Busy Lissa

Well as the title suggests, I have been a very busy girl these past few weeks. Auditions abound, submissions submitted, information updated, blogs posted, productions rehearsed, religions researched, friend gatherings, lost football games, polar vortexes and oh yeah…a WEBSITE PUBLISHED!!!

That’s right I accomplished my major January goal a whole week early! My professional website is now live and you can go and check it out at:

Hope you like it, because I am extremely proud. On it you can find the link to my upcoming production “Night of Power” which goes up January 31st-February 2nd, (don’t worry Super Bowl viewers the Sunday performance is a matinee 😉 ) If you’re too lazy to go to the link above you can always read the postcard below. Really proud of the work I’m doing in this production, and if you’re in the area and want to see great live theatre by an up-and-coming playwright, this is definitely the show for you!!!
