This is one of two #AboutLastNight (Holiday Edition) posts I’ll be making this week. This first one will cover my Christmas holiday in New York City, and the second post that will go up on Friday for #flashbackfriday will cover my New Year’s Eve celebrations. Enjoy this blast from the (relative) past as we head back to the office, and our confetti-free daily lives.
Christmas is now rapidly approaching, eek. Remember to say “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Holidays” to everyone you see, especially those folks serving us at the stores, coffee shops and restaurants this weekend. You’ll be amazed at the startled smiles and surprised expressions you’ll get in return for a small penny of kindness.
Edit: And here’s a little extra Christmas cheer to help you stay merry today!
so Christmas is a week from tomorrow. I haven’t done any shopping. I don’t want to shop. But I must. At least, in addition to the long lines, crowds of people, cold temperatures, and lugging heavy bags onto the subway I can bask in the Christmas tunes pumping through the stores’ speakers. Here are the songs I hope to hear when I finally make my rounds.

Happy Monday! This week’s #AboutLastNight post features pics from my apartment’s annual “Christmas in Harlem” party. Willow and I slaved in the kitchen and living room all day getting the apartment in festive, good time shape. I believe we succeeded! The drinks were flowing, all of the food was gobbled up and there was laughter and conversation all night long. I didn’t take as many pictures this year seeing as how my phone also played the role of DJ all night long. Hopefully, the ones above gave an accurate snapshot of the holiday cheer!
