Here it is guys! The final post from my St. Thomas extravaganza! Not gonna lie, flipping through these photos again, brought the memories right back, as I sit in my hot apartment here in Harlem. I can never fully explain how much fun I had in the Virgin Islands, but being able to celebrate my birthday with my closest friend, was the sweetest thing in the world. Hope you enjoy the pics from the Wing Festival, my birthday in St. John, ferry ride pics and a few more beach pics!
Group pic. Stunning view.
Beach view at Magen’s Bay.
Dranks and dancing…
Paul was the first person to wish me happy birthday
i got admit that one of my new favorite places in New York is only open for a few months a year (to the public anyway) and its GOVERNOR’S ISLAND!! because i’m a little tired and think that the pictures can tell the story better than i can i’ll give a brief intro. i was actually introduced to gov’s island by my good friend Collin, who happens to be a National Park Ranger based there. he always mentioned at parties that at some point i should come and check the place out, see what it’s about and try something other than the tried-and-true outdoor experience of Central Park. so last year i made my first trip (pics in the orange dress) and fell in love with the place! the views of lower manhattan are breathtaking. the lawns, old army barracks and officer homes are historically beautifully (one minute you feel like you’re in 19th century Virginia and then in a 1950s small town). castle williams (there’s a picture of its replica near the bottom) is the island’s pride and glory and the tour which i was able to go on twice with Ranger Bell (heehee) is Collin’s ability to really flex all of that Tisch-BFA-in-acting muscle!!! (whoop) but if you’re ever in new york between memorial day and september you should hop on the ferry to governor’s island. there’s nothing like it!!!!
