This week’s Wandering Wednesday features photos of sunsets, friends, and of course city architecture. Starting back with my look up series! Stay tuned for a new page featuring some of my favorites later this month.
PS- Thanks goes out to Kendra for willingly going along with the “photo shoot.”
PPS- So happy to see Emily, after almost 4 years, in Queens a few weeks ago.
Sunset on 42nd street.
I live here…

Another view of the city from the East River.

“What if i fall? Oh, but what if you fly?”
Model posing on the street.
Street art in SoHo.
Look up: Columbus Circle subway station.
Look up: The clouds just swim along the surface of the windows at the Time Warner Building.
A while ago, I completed my NYU messenger run, and what a gorgeous week it turned out to be. Sure there were some overcast days, but the days were warm (it’s all relative) and the sun made an appearance ever so often. I decided to do a “Day In the Life Of…” photo diary while on the job (shhh) so you could get a sense of what I experienced each day 🙂
Any and all mail was placed in one of these envelopes. For ____ eyes only 🙂
Each day had me going through Grand Central 4 times a day! Way too many tourists in the morning, tons of commuters in the evening.
City Hall subway stop.
See that building I’m pointing to? It’s the Woolworth Building, stop one on the route.
This was a pretty weird promotion stunt by a restaurant next door to Woolworth. I had to take a picture with a giant “eyeball”
Walking through City Hall Park the weather was all over the place on the last day, from drizzle…
To nice and humid.
Each day I was tempted by the Waffels and Dinges food truck, but I persevered and didn’t give in to the delicious treats.
Since the route took me from Union Square to the West Side, passing Strand Bookstore was a given.
Sky view on East 12th Street.
A Triangle Shirtwaist Factory memorial outside the building which now houses the College of Arts and Sciences
A view of the “Matrix” art work in the Bobst library
Best part of the day was being able to take amazing shots of the city as I walked from place to place…
Walking through Washington Square Park on the way to 5th Avenue…
Another shot of Washington Square…
Of course I had to take a picture under the arch (actually surprised this was the first time I took a photo at this angle)
While I realize it is actually Friday, my Wandering Wednesday post is going live TODAY! Yes, I’ve been busy blah, blah, blah (you can recap that here and here),but this week I started back on my messenger route which means, I’m getting paid to wander the streets of New York and take awesome photos in between stops. This week’s Wandering Wednesday features the pictures I was able to take throughout the month, when my fingers weren’t freezing.
Midtown, the Financial District, City Hall, and West Harlem are featured. Hope you enjoy!
One of the last days I could wear flats with no socks and see this fall foliage.
Loved how peaceful and serenely empty the walk was.
Fall walk in Harlem.
St. Nicholas Park
I wandered out of the city a few weeks ago for the Westchester Cat Show!
I even got to take a picture with Miss Westchester!
Cat Show Inside!
Holding onto a pie I bought at the small market in Westchester.
Took myself on a date to the Met, last Monday.
One of my FAVORITE spots in the city.
Looking downtown on Museum Mile.
Looking east down 82nd Street.
Sunset on my walk down 6th Avenue.
Hitting Herald Square.
Wandering Wednesday is BACK! This week features photos from the Westchester Feline Association Cat Show (I kid you not!), my random walk through Riverside and Riverbank State Park, a gorgeous sunset on my walk to the office, and my solo date to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Hope you enjoy!
