Monthly Motivations

Standard

Well, April is coming to a sunny close here in New York City and with the sun comes my Monthly Motivations. This month was a whirlwind filled with performances, rehearsals, trips, and some serious pondering about choices I have and need to make. These little nuggets I have picked up on the web are going to get me through my last month at age 25, I hope that they offer you the motivation and kick in the pants you may need!

Messenger Mickens: A Photo Diary

Standard

A while ago,Β I completed my NYU messenger run, and what a gorgeous week it turned out to be. Sure there were some overcast days, but the days were warm (it’s all relative) and the sun made an appearance ever so often. I decided to do a “Day In the Life Of…” photo diary while on the job (shhh) so you could get a sense of what I experienced each day πŸ™‚

Bonjour one and all!

I am alive! I have just been extremely busy/uninspired/overwhelmed/creatively empowered this month. So much has been happening in April that I haven’t been able to focus on a theme for the month, much less take a deep breath! Β Between rehearsals, performances, a quick trip home, to dog sitting, living in Queens for a week, taking tons of behind the scenes photos, to seeing amazing shows, supporting friends, planning brunch reunions, teaching in jail, and catching up on sleep, I have not been able to put all of my adventures down in the blogosphere!

So, since the month is almost up, don’t expect too many posts in the near future. I have to double down and figure out my time management skills more efficiently to bring you awesome content.

Don’t fret the New York Dreamer is still dreaming and is, in fact, involved in tons of amazing adventures. Recaps, catchups, photo galleries, dance videos and more will come, just not now!

Thanks for hanging in and check out my older posts and Instagram page to keep up with me until then.

Wandering Wednesday

Standard

It’s pretty short and sweet this week for Wandering Wednesday. Hard to believe that tomorrow marks my last day on the messenger route for awhile, but at least I’ll get to wander to some old and new places again. Most of these were actually taken on Friday after work, when the weather was pretty pleasant and I decided to walk from 42nd street over to Magnolia Baker on 68th and Columbus.

“I’ve learned that fear limits you and your vision. It serves as blinders to what may be just a few steps down the road for you. The journey is valuable, but believing in your talents, your abilities, and your self-worth can empower you to walk down an even brighter path. Transforming fear into freedom– how great is that?”
